What awesome shoes I have to fill! The past presidents of Bannock Civitan have truly excelled. Winning once again many awards at District and International Conventions. They also have had awesome success with all the community projects.
I believe Civitans have made a big difference in Pocatello. President Lincoln stated “Whatever you are be a good one.” As your President for this year I will do my very best to fulfill the duties and responsibilities that this position involves. I plan to continue on with the same great fund raisers and projects that have served the community well. I hope to inspire the inactive members to join us in accomplishing the 2010 goals. I would like to recruit some members from the younger generation also because they have such enthusiasm.
Please come out and support Bannock Civitan for 2009-2010.

Meet Member: Marsha Wright
..........Where were you born? Blackfoot, Idaho
Tell us about your family. My parents live in Blackfoot; I have an older sister and an older brother. My father worked for the INL for over 33 years, so I guess you can call me a nuclear baby. I am the youngest of the family which really has its benefits. I have one daughter who just graduated from ISU and a son who lives with me.
Why did you join Civitan? Ann, Mark and Alicia talked me into it. Also Neil invited me to join years ago and it just seemed like the right thing to do at this point in my life.
Where do you work? Idaho Department of Labor
Where would you most like to live? Montana
Where did you go for your last vacation? Las Vegas
Where would your dream vacation be? Oregon Coast
If you could have dinner with a famous person, who would it be? Neil Satterwhite
Who’s your ideal neighbor? One without young bratty children
What’s your favorite appliance? Microwave
What’s in your refrigerator? Fruit and Vegetables…..some green fuzzy stuff.
What is under your bed? Roller skates
If you won the lottery, how would you spend the money? I am not telling…….
What was the best day of your life? Coming to this world on Mothers Day!
What was your first car? Dodge Colt
What is your dream car? Lexus
What is your favorite movie? Last of the Mohicans
What is your favorite TV show? I don’t watch a lot of TV.
Who is your favorite entertainer? Keith Urban
What is your favorite book? I worked at a library for 3 ½ years not sure I have one favorite book. My idea of a favorite book is one you can’t put down.
What is your favorite food? Cashews
What food do you hate? Brussels sprouts--stinky
What is your favorite restaurant? Mexican
What is your favorite sport? Golf and tennis
If you had to sing a karaoke song, what would it be? No karaoke for me……I will stick to singing in the shower.
What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day? Walk
What is your favorite thing to do on a sunny day? Golf
What is one thing that you would really like to learn to do or have done? Belly Dance
What person has influenced you most in your life? My mother and father
What is the most rewarding thing about your job? Helping people change their lives by over coming barriers and obtaining jobs.
What has been your most rewarding experience with Civitan? Meeting wonderful people who care about the community.
