This chapter is open to new members

Come out to play with Chit Chat Hootie Hats! We have a HOOT every month at least once and maybe twice. We meet evenings during the week, and daytime/evenings on weekends. Depends on what we're doing. Each member will plan a event and she can plan an event with other members if she wishes. We have gone to the Milwaukee Zoo, tea rooms, conventions, red hat fashion shows, been in parades, parties, gone to craft shows, picnic in the park, and seen bands. Yep, we seen Elvis a couple of times and YES! He's still around!

~New Members~

Our chapter is open to new members ages 40+ so why not come out to play with us! If you are UNDER age of 50, you are a "Lady in Waiting". You will wear Lavevder clothing with a pink hat. Pink hats can be bold, bright or pale to your liking. Ladies 50 and older will wear DARK purple clothing with a red hat. Your hats can be simple or fancy as you'd like! There is a rule, you MUST wear your colors and your HAT! After all it's the RED HAT SOCIETY. Dues are $20. for the Red Hat Society membership for the year.

When a Lady in Waiting is turning the BIG ONE her 50th, she then trades her pink hat in for a RED hat! It's a special day for her and there many ways to celebrate. Members may do a ceremony by acting out the poem "WARNING" by Jenny Joseph or any other creative fun way to celebrate!
