Welcome to Frank P Long PTA Website...
Frank P Long Intermediate School is a two-year school that prepares our children for the years ahead in junior and senior High School. Wouldn't this be a great time to show your child how important school is by being involved and knowing what's going on in their school? We invite you to come out and join us at our PTA Meetings to find out what is happening in and around our school.
We've had a successful year with our PTA Board and actively involved parents. We will try to keep you up to date on PTA events with our webpage and as we go into our next school year, we welcome any questions and/or suggestions that you may have. Drop us a note (below) and let us know what you think. We encourage parents to get involved. Volunteers are greatly appreciated!

Hope the beginning of the year was a smooth one for everyone.
We were happy to see some familiar faces at the meet the teacher nights and many new ones as well. We have some fun things planned this year. We are looking in to doing something for Halloween. What it is yet we don't know. We have our book fair coming up on October 15 - 17. We will need plenty of volunteers for set up, working the fair and break down. A notice will be going home the first week of October so please look for it and send it back filled out.
Our first PTA meeting is coming up on October 23 @ 7:00pm. We hope to see you all there. We may have a guest speaker that night...more to follow.
For those of you who haven't already checked it out...OUR NEW PLAYGROUND IS UP AND RUNNING! We've been waiting a long time for the playground and it's finally here. From what the kids tell me they LOVE it!
Our spiritwear sale will begin on October 6. There will be samples on display. The clothes make great holiday gifts!
We were talking,as a board, about perhaps funding field trips this year. Please come to the PTA meeting and sound off about it. We would really love to hear your opinions. It will cost us about $15,000.00. That's a lot of fundraising! Come to the meeting and let us know your thoughts.

We're always in need of volunteers to help out with our many events.
