STATS & HISTORY The tactical arena is inherently dangerous. Members of tactical teams sustain casualties at a rate of 1.8 per 1,000 officer missions. Perpetrators are injured at the rate of 18.9 per 1,000 officer missions, and bystanders are injured at the rate of 3.2 per 1,000 officer missions. It is this inherent danger that makes a Tactical Medic an invaluable asset to any tactical team. Tactical medics have been working with the SWAT Team since October of 1998 with 6 medics. The team expanded to 7 medics in march of 1999 (6 medics and 1 supervisor). Other expansions include: an additional medic in 2001, and to it's current status of 9 medics and 1 supervisor in August of 2002. In Total, the SWAT Team consists of 20 police officers, 1 team commander, 9 medics and medic supervisor. Current team members include:
Kavin Tinney, Buddy Pearce, David Dilbeck, Jim Ballard, Noah Wright, Jimmy Lee,Cody Russell,Quentin Dobimier, and Chris Golden. There have been over 750 runs with no serious injuries.
